DIY 70’s Jumpsuit

Hey All! I hope everyone had an excellent week. I had to take a break to catch up on some much needed sleep. I had a lot going on this week including my younger sisters fashion show (which was absolutely amazing).

With that in mind of course I had to make something new to wear. I also constructed a couple of her designs for the show so I didn’t have a lot of time to do it in. The dress code was dress to impress, but I also wanted to be comfortable because it was still a work day for me.

I feel like a jumpsuit was a good compromise and couldn’t wait to use this vogue pattern V1807. I used this stretch polyester that I found in downtown L.A. at Michael Levines that was light and airy. Perfect——if you know anything about the Atlanta heat, you know why this is important.

This is a very easy sew, it came together in one afternoon. I highly recommend it especially if you’re short on time. And it has that 70’s vibe that I tend to favor.
