Spotted…

Hey guys! Welcome back. The recent heat wave inspired this weeks make. Its a lovely, High-Low fit and flare dress made with McCalls pattern 6504. I got this pattern on one of my many trips to Joann’s during their pattern sales….and then it just sat in my stash. And continued to sit, until I found this leopard print rayon fabric from Fabric.com.

Sometimes the fabric tells you what it wants to be and this one screamed McCalls. (Most of my clothes do it seems)

I got a lot of compliments on this dress. I love a gored pattern because it gives volume without being bulky. It’s definitely a pattern I will recreate with contrasting or complimentary fabric. I think there should have been a little less discrepancy between the length of the pieces in the front and back but it’s certainly a statement piece.
